Last weekend I ventured over to lovely Lincoln, where my Mum lives and I grew up. Every year they have the most amazing Christmas market, which I used to get really annoyed by when I lived there, but now get really excited about. They have loads of fantastic stalls offering hand-crafted and artisan goods, not to mention the hot-chocolate and baileys and hog-roasts (yum)!
As usual I forgot to take my 'real' camera with me, so I had to make do with my snapshot camera (hence the slight out-of-focus on some of them).
I had a great time, ate lots of food and drank lots of hot-chocolate-baileys and wine. Winner. I'm now officially in the Christmas spirit.

Style Crush: Binki Shapiro
In the quest to find my style I have made a board on Pinterest to help me hone in on exactly what I like. In doing this I've found that most of the outfits I've pinned so far are casual... you know jeans, jumpers, t- shirt, boots or flats. There's nothing wrong with this - it's a big part of my taste, obviously.
This lady manages to "do casual" perfectly. If I can emulate the way she puts things together half as well I'm, well, half way there! Her music's not bad either.

Shop Update: crocheted cloud brooch
I love crocheting clouds. I'm always trying to think up new ways of using my clouds for accessories or decoration, and here is just one of the things I have done with one of them recently. At the moment there is only one available (my first ever created), but I shall definitely be making more of these babies in the future.
I hope you like.

Best of Xmas crafts (so far)
There are so many amazing ideas out there for Xmas themed craftiness that I don't know where to begin. Every day whilst catching up on my on-line reading (thank you Bloglovin), I stumble across new ideas and fresh inspiration. If only I had more time in the day!
So anyway, I've compiled a list of links to some of my favourites so far. Take a peek...

Globe snowman family by Emily Henderson (via CRAFT)
Washi tape Christmas tree (Omiyage Blog)
Snowflake garland (Itchin' Stitchin')
Bauble wreath (Matt & Becky)
Paper hanging decorations (Nest)
Reindeer button portrait (The Daily Telecraft)
I will definitely be trying out at least one of the above. I'll keep you posted. In the meantime I'm thinking up lots of easy-to-accomplish gift and wrapping ideas to make giving that little bit extra special this year. Notepad at the ready...

Happy 21st Birthday Loren!
Today it is my sweet little cousin Loren's 21st Birthday.
That's her in the blue (I'm in the middle) and that's her lovely big sister Emma in the yellow. I can't wait to see them this Xmas - it's going to be so much fun!
Love you to bits :)

Meet the Family
Hello again. I want to give you a bit of an introduction to my little family unit...
This is me and my boyfriend Floyd. We've been together for 5 years - he's pretty awesome.
And this is me with my lovely pug Betty. We've only had her since August this year, and she's brought so much joy into our lives (cheesy, but true) - I love her to bits, even if she does stink sometimes.
I don't have a good enough picture of the three of us - I shall work on that... mental note, take lots of cute family portraits - Floyd will love that! Ha.
So there you go, the two people (if you can call Betty a people) I spend most of my time with, excluding work folk. Lovely right? I'm so lucky :)

Tuesday's Tune: Passion Pit
Hello everyone. As this is my new blog, I'm having a fresh start. I would however like to bring across some of the features from my old blog - one of which is Tuesday's Tune. It was a relatively new feature before I decided to pack up and move along to "Head in the Clouds", but I really enjoyed picking out a song each week to share with you all.
I think music can tell you a lot about a person, their tastes and their personality; so I think this is a great way of showing you a little bit more about me and what makes me tick. Anyway enough blabbing, here you are...
I recently re-discovered this band after rinsing their first album when it first came out. Sometimes it's best to give a band a little break if you've overdosed on them; that way you can find joy their music over and over again.
I love Passion Pit!

A walk in the park
One of the best things about having a dog is all the time you get to spend outside in the fresh air with your thoughts and cute company. One of the best things about living where I do is the close proximity to all the beautiful parks in my area. The Botanical Gardens is a favourite spot of both mine and Betty's, and as you can see it looks pretty special in Autumn.
I feel pretty lucky to live in a City that is both green and urban (did you know Sheffield is Europe's greenest city?). It really is the best of both worlds. I try to make the best of the weekends, when I have some daylight, and take Betty on a long walk around some of Sheffield's green spots. The nights (and mornings) are too dark at the moment, so the only real good walks are at the weekend... roll on Spring.

Hello world!
Well hello there people and welcome to my (new) blog. Yes I've done this before, but decided I wanted a fresh start so here we are! I plan to make this all about the things I love and make me feel inspired. I also want to share how I keep myself motivated to try new things and new ideas, and hopefully inspire a few people to get busy doing some of the same.
But first let me introduce myself...
This is me. I live in Sheffield in the North of England (where it's lovely, but cold). I love crafts and crocheting and recently taught myself to knit. My dream is to run my own business, and here is where I will be sharing my journey, inspiration and things I learn along the way.
