Blakeney and Holt

 Hello again.  I'm back with more pictures from our trip down to Norfolk.  We stayed at the beautiful Blakeney, but took a trip over to Holt on the Saturday afternoon.  Most of the pictures above are from our day out there.  As you can see it had it's charms!

I'll be taking another trip shortly (well this Thursday) because it's mine and my mum's birthday this week, so we're heading over to Spain for a few days to celebrate.  I'm a bit spoiled at the moment with all these festivities!  I'm really looking forward to a bit of (fingers crossed) sunshine.

Quick hello: Blakeney

 

Hello friends!  How are you today?  I'm tired, but I think that may have something to do with this being my first day back at work after a lovely long weekend in Norfolk celebrating my Nanna-Sue and Papa's 25th wedding anniversary.  I have many more (proper) photos to show you, but for the meantime you can get a glimpse of the lovely surroundings we had the pleasure to be a part of for the few days we were there.

Spain

So I'm back from my sunny holiday in Spain with some great memories, a bit of sunburn and a few extra pounds around my tummy.  I had such a relaxing time, I'm quite sad to be back but happy to see my little Betty again.

If you've been following me on Instagram then you will have seen these pictures already.  I made the decision to not take my "real" camera with me on holiday so that I could properly switch off.  This decision I both regret and am glad about - a contradiction but nevertheless true.

I have come home with a new energy and motivation to make changes in my life.  I'm sure I will be blogging about it here soon.  Until then... :)

Just a few more snapshots from our holiday... Such good memories, I wish I was still there.

Filey

Me, Floyd and Betty had such a fun holiday in Filey.  We've been there a few times now as Floyd's mum has a place out there, so we feel pretty lucky that we get to enjoy it time after time (and it holds a very special place in our hearts now!).  We did plenty of eating, drinking and relaxing which is exactly what I was hoping to achieve in our week off.

Every time we go we have our little traditions.  We had fish and chips nearly every day, went sea-fishing one day and caught a load of mackerel (yum), we then had to learn how to gut them (gross), we went charity-shop shopping, went to the arcade and won a monkey keyring on the 2p machines (I love those things), I treated myself to a double-scoop ice-cream, and we took Betty on lots of long walk on the cliffs and on the beach.

I look forward to the next time we visit.  I love you Filey!

My week off

 I'm back from my short break at Center Parcs, and boy did it fly by!  Holidays always go fast, but this one felt like a weekend not a week (well 5 days).  My swimming skills improved considerably, I finished three crochet projects, and started a new book (pictures above).  All in all a successful and relaxing few days.  Ahh...
