Hello and happy Easter folks. I hope you've been having a fun and relaxing time (much like me). As you can see from my pictures, rabbits have been a bit of a theme around our place this weekend. They've been popping all all over the place! There's a family of them nestled amongst the nic-nacs on my fireplace. I made some cute origami bunny boxes and filled them with chocolate eggs as well as a few white rabbits (yum) for Easter. I painted bunny faces on my nails with Spring colours... this may need some practice. We also re-potted some of our green friends - don't you think a couple of them are looking a bit bunny-like? Nope, just me.
Valentines Day is approaching. Will you be sending someone special a little love note? I'm going to sweeten up someones day with my origami luggage tags. What sweet surprises have you got planned?

As you already know, I love paper. I also love origami and art, and origami art (you can see more here). I recently came across this awesome instalment via CRAFT and just had to share - I hope you don't mind ;)
My weekend so far has been great. We stayed in a hotel last night and ate some really tasty food - breakfast this morning was awesome. The sun has been out today and I have felt inspired and motivated (yay!). The flat is clean and tidy, I've finished a couple of projects and tonight we're going to the cinema to see Looper. My mum and step-dad are coming over tomorrow, so I've lots to look forward to.

I was blown away when I first saw these installations from French artist Mademoiselle Maurice. I am a huge origami fan as it is, and have experimented with different origami features on my own walls at home (don't get me wrong - they were nowhere near this good!). I especially love the fact that she has decided to put these installations in public spaces - sharing the beauty, but also making them fleeting as they will ultimately be weathered away. This week has been a strange one. After all the glorious weather we had last week, it took a turn for the bizarre and Sheffield got a covering of snow. Yep, for one day only we experienced a full on blizzard! Weird.
I've been making lots of origami inspired crafty things and swooning over the beautiful patterned paper (I love paper). Betty had a well needed bath and I went and got myself a new piercing - ouch!
Now I'm hoping to get lots done with this extra-long weekend (hooray for Bank Holidays). Do you have any Easter plans?
Spring is coming and with it bringing longer days, milder weather and lots of pretty blossoms and blooms. I love this optimistic time of year. The sunshine gives me energy, so I get lots done. And of course the Spring-clean! There's nothing like a good old sort out to make you feel motivated. Bring it on.
I love origami. It's one of the crafts I practice more regularly, and I've been doing it a lot lately. I'm a fan of Japanese crafts in general, and I love some of the beautiful papers you can buy. So you can imagine my glee when I came across this pattern on How About Orange. I'm definitely going to give it a go. You should too.
