Onions

Hello peeps, I'm sorry for the relative silence around here lately - I've been on holiday (probably should have mentioned that before).  It was the Mister's Birthday so we disappeared to Dovedale in the Peak District for a couple of relaxing days.  Betty accompanied us and thouroughly enjoyed herself too!  But alas, it's back to reality with a bump.

Things have been changing around here.  I have a secret to share with you soon, but for now you'll have to wait until my preparations are complete.  In the meantime I'll share this simple project I started last week... re-growing some spring onions.  I'll keep you updated on their progress in the weeks to come.

Speak soon lovelies x

  3. Tanks, Lois!
    A piece of advice:
keep onionson on the wet cloth or cotton wool with their roots down. It works with leek and parsley too, I've tried it:)

  4. I've been doing this for the past few weeks, but I don't chop mine off so much. I leave about 3 inches at the bottom and them stick them in a little glass of water, and they grow so fast!

I'm keen to know how yours grow...will be looking forward to the update.

    1. Yeah I may have chopped a bit too much off, but we'll see. I can always start over - it's such an easy project.

    1. No, I forgot about them a couple of days and they'd gone a bit slimey. I think I'll not cut them so much next time.
