Projects all over the place

I have been pretty good at completing craft projects recently.  They're literally scattered all around my flat.  Because of this other things have been suffering, such as my usual list of chores, and the place looks like a bit of a mess.  But it's my mess right?

I never feel like I have enough time (I'm sure I'm not the only one), but soon I will be re-listing my 'to-do' lists in order of priority and hopefully that should help me out a bit.  Speaking of help, I want to give special thanks to my patient and understanding manfriend who lets me make such mess without moaning at me (something I know wouldn't happen if it were the other way around).

How do you manage your time?  I'm always interested to hear new advice about this particular issue.

Currently...

Hi folks!  Sorry I don't have anything more exciting to post for you today.  The sun came out this week and I've spent more time than I probably should have reading books in the park.  My massive 'to do' list (which was recently split into four priority areas) has been sat on my table not getting any attention.  So now I'm desperately trying to get some crochet projects finished whilst recalibrating my mojo!

For the record, Miranda July's book of short stories (pictured above) is brilliant - I highly recommend it.  Also, check out my newly painted kitchen wall!!  So happy we've crossed that big job off our list (and I love the colour).

Is it sunny where you are?

Primoeza

The latest collection from Melbourne based label Primoeza.  I'm in love.

Created by Elizabeth Rayman Yong, she produces "wearable pieces that combine hand-worked elements with knit fabric created on vintage knitting machines".  This makes me want to go out and buy a knitting machine!  I love the styling and photography too.  Just dreamy.

This week

So this week I started a few new projects.  I got a couple of new green friends for the terranium I plan on creating with the giant glass goldfish-bowl I picked up a couple of weeks ago.  I started a new granny-square project.  I discovered a new favourite treat - pea snacks!  And today, me and the mister are decorating the kitchen.  Phew!

Decorating was one of the things on my list, so I'm really glad to have started on that one.  Have you started any long awaited projects lately?

Tuesday's Tune: Yuksek

Here's a little upbeat tune for you today. I hope you're having a fun Tuesday.

Day to day

This is where I spend most of my crafting hours.  Mostly because it's comfortable, but also because I still feel close to my little family (me, my mister and Betty) rather than being tucked away in a room somewhere.  When we first moved into this flat I wanted to make myself a little space specifically for crafting, which I did, but it hasn't quite worked out - way too cold in there!

This week we moved the dining room table into the living room.  The kitchen is pretty small, and our living room is pretty big - so yeah, you get the picture.  We plan on decorating this weekend, so it's going to look fresh around here soon.  Can't wait.

Onions

Hello peeps, I'm sorry for the relative silence around here lately - I've been on holiday (probably should have mentioned that before).  It was the Mister's Birthday so we disappeared to Dovedale in the Peak District for a couple of relaxing days.  Betty accompanied us and thouroughly enjoyed herself too!  But alas, it's back to reality with a bump.

Things have been changing around here.  I have a secret to share with you soon, but for now you'll have to wait until my preparations are complete.  In the meantime I'll share this simple project I started last week... re-growing some spring onions.  I'll keep you updated on their progress in the weeks to come.

Speak soon lovelies x

Neon Necklace

Hello.  Today I wanted to share with you this simple DIY I found over on 'a pair and a spare' recently.  It makes me want to raid the charity shops for necklaces to spray neon colours!
