LOVE day

Yes, tomorrow we celebrate all things lovely with love.  I must say, I love valentines day!  Even when I was single I loved valentines, but now (with the risk of sounding smug) I have the most wonderful manfriend a lady could ask for, I love it even more!

Birthday magic

I may not have had the best birthday ever (I went to a funeral), however my amazing manfriend has given me the best birthday present ever!! - yes two exclamation marks.  Later on this year, when the weather has picked up a bit, we will be taken on a ride in a hot air balloon!  I actually cried when I opened up this surprise.  I'm so excited.

I was just doing the rounds, you know catching up on my blog reading list, when I came across this totally charming planet mobile crafted up by Andrew + Carissa.  Lovely isn't it?

I've been crafting like crazy these past couple of days.  I'm feeling really inspired at the moment so I'm trying to make the best of it while it lasts!  I'll share pictures soon.

27 before 28 recap

Last year on my birthday I took inspiration from this post and made myself a list of things to accomplish before my next birthday.  Here it is:

I actually managed to complete more than I thought I would (see what great faith I have in myself) and think it's a great way of acheiving things you wouldn't usually set out to do.

Through making this list I have definitely done more, tried new things and been places I probably wouldn't have made the effort to otherwise.  I shall continue this tradtion until I have done everything I ever wanted to!

It's my good friend Amanda's birthday today, hooray!  She's my birthday buddy.  We Aquarians have to stick together you know?

What my day looked like

Heeeeeey!  How's your day been?  I've had a pretty fun/productive Saturday.  Yes for once I managed to strike the perfect balance of getting things done as well as enjoying some 'me' time.

I got my hair done, went to a craft and vintage fair (more of which to follow) and tidied up the flat in preparation for our friends Will + Hannah coming over for some tea and a cinema trip.

Oh yeah and it snowed.  Excitement!
