Haim are my current favourite new girl band... they beat Girls Aloud any day right? They're playing at Glastonbury this year. Hopefully I'll get my act together and make it to see them amidst the crowds, the mud and the sometimes devastating decisions one has to make at these things. Even if I don't get to see them perform at Glasto, they'll be clogging up my playlist for the Summer to come - that much I can guarantee.

Tuesday's Tune: Trails and Ways

I don't know what it is about all this summery music at the moment, but I can't stop listening to it. Maybe I'm just feeling nostalgic. I need to find some new tunes with plenty of jingle-bell sounds to get me feeling more wintery - any suggestions?
Although I'm kind of getting into wrapping up in plenty of layers, and sticking my electric blanket on, I'm getting a bit bummed out by the darkening nights. It's making it pretty tricky to get any photos taken (unless I use my flash which I hate to do). I think I need a camera upgrade - yeah dark nights are the perfect excuse right? Haha, not like I need one (an excuse that is). I think I'll go do some research on photographing in poor light conditions... yes Lois, be productive.

It's true, Summer has ended and a new season is upon us. With that come new musical vibes to get into whilst I'm busy crocheting away making warm things to wrap up in. This song is just perfect to lament the passing season (and the rest of the album is pretty perfect too). I'm looking forward to finding new playlists to keep me motivated through the ever darkening nights... le sigh.

Tuesday's Tune: Django Django

Today's tune comes from one of my new faves - Django Django.  I'm eagerly awaiting the release of their debut album, which I think is any day now.  But for the time being I'll just have to listen to this awesome track on repeat.

How cool are they?  I love the stop-frame animated video and the paint effects they used.  Did you know they went to art school in Edinburgh?  Lovely bit of pop-trivia for you.
